Originally live-streamed 5th of August 2019, we took the text of a poem and went through the design and build process of turning poetry into a visual for Instagram. This was our first time live-streaming a Photoshop work session, so we’re still learning how best to present and record this type of content. That being said, thank you for bearing with the low-res footage and look forward to us doing this again hopefully on a weekly basis!
Baltimore poet Meccamorphosis exposes white-washing & racism within her phone’s autocorrect, with her poem, “Duck You Autocorrect.” The clique pull up Janae Johnson’s piece, “White Girl Roasting” for the first poetry review, and FINALLY find a decent IG poem reeled in from the IG #poetry ether by @tianatakespoetry. Lastly, Mecca shuts it down with all the feels during her “Five For Your Eye” prompted poem.
CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED poet/writer/actor Alex Alpharaoh retells wild stories of homeless poets in LA, as he cliques up on our season premiere! The Clique gasses up Sierra DeMulder during the YT poetry review, and takes shots at fake-logic IG poetry during the “2 Piece Combo.” Alex closes it out by getting into his personal and social struggles during the “5 For Your Eye” prompted poem.

Bess illuminates black struggle and pain like Big Daddy Kane during “Threads and Lines” and the boys dive deep into the poetic pond and get salty and sweet during the “2 Piece Combo”.
We welcome our first and only literary poet of the season, Angela Peñaredondo, to clique up! We dissect the literary poetry process and throw poetry sugar and salt at the “2 Piece Combo.” Angela shuts it down at the end by bringing a poem worth all the re-reads for the “5 for Ya Eye”.
Slam champion Kito Fortune blesses the clique with an eye into the extroverts struggles. The whole clique throws them fiery words during the 2-piece poetry review and a debates cracks OFF over the IG poetry game. Kito closes it out as his “5 for Ya Eye” procrastination births poetry diamonds.
Matt Sedillo cliques up this episode to clusterbomb the mic with F-bombs, we praise & crit a Prentice Powell performance, roast on a salty haiku, and chop it up about them poli’tricks!
